The business analyst is responsible for extracting requirements from customers by using interviews, document analysis, onsite visits, business process descriptions and referencing case scenarios. In addition, this role needs to:
- critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders at all levels to analyze needs and business requirements
- produce the following artifacts as needed:
- functional requirements
- use cases
- diagrams
- ui prototypes
- successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- work independently with stakeholders to define concepts, review specifications, solicit feedback, gather requirements, and obtain approval for specifications
- work under the direction of product owners and/or under the direction of project managers as needed
- work with customer to analyze support issues

- 2+ years of experience as r
- associates or bachelors degree in computer management or similar degree
- working knowledge of microsoft suite
- experience working in a “start-up” environment is a plus
