Primary purpose
responsible for managing external warehouse operations and aligning 3pls to ball standards of operation. This critical role will implement needed changes across the warehouse network to improve customer experience, drive cost savings, reduce quality issues and work with cross‑functional teams to solve complex logistics problems.
essential responsibilities
* standardize best practices across the warehouse operations network.
* manage the budget and operational efficiencies of the regional warehouse network.
* design, track and execute warehouse kpis.
* collaborate cross‑functionally with ibp functions and other department teams to maximize efficiencies and cost savings in the supply chain.
* manage suppliers, relationships, and operations of external warehouses.
* maintain inventory accuracy of finished goods.
* coordinate with plants, central logistics, quality, customer fulfillment, central planning and sourcing to resolve issues.
* coordinate with transportation on inbound and outbound shipments and yard management.
* lead projects to address issues in the warehouse network.
* oversee external warehouse onboarding, system setup, equipment installation and execution.
* ensure accuracy of warehouse related documents, contracts and shipments; maintain and report inventory accuracy, aging, hfi and status of finished goods and packaging.
* identify strategies, create regional action plans and coordinate with local teams and ibp logistics.
* review invoices from regional 3pls in coupa and resolve accounting issues with finance teams.
* generate and maintain active purchase orders for external warehouses and regional transportation.

professional & education qualifications
* broad training in a related field, typically college or related experience.
* 3‑5 years of relevant experience (or educational equivalent); managerial experience required.
* project management experience preferred.

* working knowledge of ball's internal manufacturing and logistics systems, procedures and business practices.
