as a continuation improvement specialist, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in abb, utilizing lean six sigma methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress. In this role you will typically be implementing continuous improvement projects in the local organization and/or mastering multiple projects.
*your responsibilities*:
- executing continuous improvement and strategy deployment and working with other ci leaders to standardize processes and develop best practices.
- working in cross-functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks.
- identifying key team members in each function to support projects within the location and encourage key individuals to develop their skills.
- understanding the organization’s vision, objectives, and needs, and suggesting projects, actions, and tools to achieve them.
- providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts and tracking progress and value from these efforts.
- providing training and coaching to people and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves and driving standardization and consistency.
- driving transformational projects with a hands-on (“gemba”) and problem-solving approach.
*your background*:
- bachelor’s degree in industrial engineer, administrative mechanic, mechatronic engineer, industrial engineer administrative or related field.
- proficiency with microsoft office tools, power bi, and autocad.
- knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- electrical drawings interpretation.
- previous experience working with value stram map, kaizen, 8d, 5s, smed, kanban (nice to have).
- 1 year of experience in similar roles.
- intermediate english level.
