as a software engineer specializing in dynamodb, you will design and operate highly scalable nosql database solutions on aws. You will ensure consistent, low-latency performance by implementing expert data modeling and capacity management strategies for mission‑critical applications.
what you’ll do
* design and implement efficient dynamodb schemas using advanced partition and sort key strategies.
* optimize table performance and cost through effective use of global secondary indexes (gsis) and local secondary indexes (lsis).
* manage database capacity modes and scaling configurations to handle fluctuating application workloads.
* implement data streaming and replication solutions using dynamodb streams to power event‑driven architectures.
* ensure high availability and data durability by configuring global tables and automated backup strategies.
* monitor and troubleshoot database performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
what we are looking for
* 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or database administration.
* proven expertise in designing and operating production‑grade dynamodb tables.
* deep understanding of nosql data modeling, partition key design, and global secondary indexes (gsis).
* hands‑on experience with dynamodb streams and capacity management in aws environments.
* proficiency in building and managing serverless architectures using aws‑native services.
