This role focuses on ensuring the successful execution of energy storage projects from planning and design to implementation and commissioning.
the bess project engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines and safety standards.
requirements: at least 2 years of experience in the renewabe energy sector.bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, electrical power, energy management or related fields; preferably mba or equival.fluent english. Responsibilities: training and knowledge sharing: train internal teams on the operation, safety protocols, and maintenance of bess systems.
organize workshops or sessions to share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
system design and layout: collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize bess solutions that meet both technical specifications and project requirements.
this includes developing electrical diagrams, selecting appropriate battery technologies, inverters, and other components, as well as defining system integration approaches.supplier and vendor management: build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that all materials, components, and services meet quality standards and project timelines.
negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of all project requirements.
customer interaction: liaise with clients to understand their specific energy storage needs and provide tailored solutions.
assist with project presentations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project.schedule management: develop detailed project timelines, setting milestones for the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
cost control and budgeting: prepare and manage the project budget, including procurement of materials, installation costs, labor, and third-party services.
ensure all project expenses stay within the agreed budget and address cost overruns when necessary.
risk management: identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with project execution.
develop contingency plans and work closely with the project team to resolve issues that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality.
stakeholder communication: maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
