as tooling engineer you will support tooling requirements for projects, delivers input for quotation to bid, warranty and service functions, make sure tooling and equipment optimally support manufacturing by optimal design, support tooling implementation and calibration.
you will also, design for manufacturing and standardization.
*responsibilities*:
develop cad design of tools, jigs and fixtures according to project requirements and timelines.
ordering and follow-up of material and / or tooling equipment supply to ensure timely implementation.
organize and validate trial runs.
create technical documentation, according to applicable industry norms and legislation, with special focus on hse.
support the storage of tools and equipment.
support spare parts process for tools for tooling preventive maintenance program.
forecast tool shop working hours for new tooling or for checks, repair and calibration.
*qualifications*:
bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer or equivalent;
3 years of experience in similar position;
analysis and resolution of technical issues;
knowledge of various manufacturing process, manufacturing tooling and check fixture;
strong management of design software catia v5 or equivalent;
engineering, quality and manufacturing processes, tools, it-systems and relevant kpis, hse and ergonomics.
maintenance regimes and periodicity;
static calculation of designs.
understanding of the interface between engineering and manufacturing.
