We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
*regulatory reporting framework project manager*
*role purpose*:
we are looking to hire a pm to manage the data and automation strategy defined by the rrct. This role will play a critical function in managing the investment / funding to execute the regulatory reporting portfolio as planned. The role holder will lead cross-line of business meetings, report owners, risk stewards and relevant stakeholders to endure correct delivery of the commitments. The purpose of the creation of the role is to support management oversight for our framework and support governance, remediation efforts, and embeddedness of sustainable practices across the function.
*main activities*:
- this role is primarily focused on project management and governance support.
- to manage the budget of the regulatory reporting data and automation programme; drive programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks, establish effective programme controls and procedures.
- proactively determine, analyze and identify performance metrics and measurements and dictate improvement plans to track and drive on time delivery and adherence to the data and automation strategy comprised by different regulatory reporting related projects.
- support budget and aop exercises related to potential costs or investments necessary to maintain a robust and sustainable regulatory reporting capability. Liaise with business lines and functions, transformation and finance teams to have holistic visibility of budgetary requirements and challenges.
- report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to management and steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
requirements
*knowledge, experience and capabilities*
- 5+ years in the banking industry in areas related to project management, transformation, data analytics, data remediation, business risk and control..
- outstanding understanding of hsbc group structures, values, behaviors, processes and objectives.
- knowledge of the external regulatory environment in mexico is beneficial.
- knowledge of hbmx’s organizational structure, including business lines and functions.
- strong understanding of hbmx’s systems infrastructure, its advantages and challenges.
- strong project management skills, including pm certifications or trainings are a plus.
- understanding of hsbc’s global risk management framework.
- knowledge of global transformation business frameworks, methodologies and best practices.
- ability to challenge senior stakeholders across businesses where appropriate.
