a day in the life
responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned:
1. be a part of the gosc fp&a scrap cost pool team, serving as the key fp&a contact for manufacturing sites within the west region for the total production scrap cost pool.
2. execute the consolidation and review of the weekly scrap kpis for the manufacturing sites within the west platform. Investigate and understand drivers of variances and escalate concerns as they arise. Collaborate with west sites to bring all sites onto the scrap kpi dashboard.
3. collaborate with manufacturing site operations, operations finance partners, and global manufacturing fp&a to standardize and improve scrap reporting.
4. be a proactive strategic business partner to the west platform sites, providing insights and understanding of variations in muv and production scrap pool.
5. partner cross-functionally in the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast processes on scrap assumptions and own detailed planning in onestream.
6. identify opportunities to forecast based on expected changes and trending.
7. support the development and implementation of financial best practices in scrap reporting.
8. perform other ad-hoc tasks and data preparation as required for internal customers.

required knowledge and experience
requires advanced knowledge of the job area, typically obtained through advanced education and experience. Practical knowledge of project management may be included.
bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance and/or cost accounting. Advanced english proficiency.

* professional accountancy qualification (e.g., acca, aca, cpa, cima).
* strong communication skills, both oral and written, with experience presenting to leadership.
* ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple conflicting deadlines and priorities.
* effective teamwork and relationship-building across time zones and geographies.
* exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities, project management skills.
* intermediate to advanced skills in microsoft excel and powerpoint.
* sap/bpcs experience is preferred.
