Responsibilities
* coordinate communication between supplier and other departments of the company, such as (but not limited to) engineering and quality with suppliers.
* analyze demands and place required po’s based on mrp signal.
* follow up on purchase order confirmation with suppliers.
* follow up on shipment confirmations, import, receiving and inspection process.
* responsible until material is released on conformance stores.
* have good communication skills with suppliers.
* execute their workload using purchasing good practices.
* follow up on on-time delivery from suppliers.
* maintain appropriate inventory levels, based on demand signal.
* attend meetings and phone calls in a timely manner.
* provide an efficient and fast response to emails requests.
* perform purchasing guidelines to achieve the company goals.
* understand and reach kpi´s metrics to achieve company goals.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree required
* fluent english (written and spoken).
* 2+ years of experience in sourcing or supply chain.
* experience purchasing raw materials within the medical, aerospace, or automotive industries.
* experience sourcing resin and plastic materials.
* ability to read and interpret mrp data, place purchase orders, and manage safety stock levels, sales orders, and shortage reports.
* advanced excel skills.
* strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
* experience in supplier development and implementing cost reduction strategies.
