Job summarywithin the product realization process, this role is responsible for monitoring and ensuring adherence to the production and new product development schedule, as well as the efficient management of material and human resources; furthermore, the role is responsible for the quality of products, processes, and personnel.about albea & the product line that is recruitingalbéa is a global leader in beauty, personal care, oral care, pharmaceutical and food packaging. Our site, albéa matamoros is north america's center of excellence for mascara, lip gloss and lipstick packaging.scope- ensure production management by overseeing the daily operations of the decoration and assembly processes for plastic molded parts, ensuring production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines. - guarantee quality assurance by implementing and maintain quality control processes to guarantee products meet cosmetic packaging standards, addressing and resolving any quality issues promptly. - ensure resource management by managing human and material resources efficiently to ensure optimized production and the availability of necessary materials and equipment for uninterrupted production. - guarantee process improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste, leading initiatives for continuous improvement in production processes. - guarantee npd performances (industrialization, delivery, cost, ...) - ensure safety and compliance by guaranteeing all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment.main activities- ensures compliance with production and quality standards within their area by adhering to the production schedule, participating in daily production meetings, and collaborating with their entire support team—including planning, quality, product engineering, processes, supervisors, and technicians/mechanics. - effectively manages the material and human resources of their area by preparing the annual budget; managing maintenance expenses and overtime within their area; and reviewing resource utilization in other departments to assess workload and prevent unnecessary overtime in those areas by providing operational personnel support to other uaps (unit assembly teams). - maintains scrap levels below the established target and, in collaboration with their support team, develops a plan for every new project or product to identify potential failure modes and prevent waste on the production line. - makes decisions regarding their area—such as the movement of equipment into and out of the zone—and is responsible for facility maintenance within their area (structural integrity, wall painting, floor sealing, hvac maintenance), as well as ensuring adequate supplies for all machinery; they are also responsible for standardizing all supplies, and for monitoring energy consumption and waste. - maintains appropriate and effective channels of communication across all organizational levels by conducting monthly accountability meetings with their direct supervisor, other uaps, the support team, and personnel at every level. - ensures that their area remains clean and organized—free of oil spills, water leaks, and drips—and that hvac ducts are clean, all machinery is clean and properly aligned, and all necessary cleaning supplies and tools are available in the tool crib, by regularly reviewing and following up on requisitions. - ensures the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within their area, among their work team, and within their processes by executing improvement projects focused on their equipment—including machines, molds, feeders, and all associated secondary equipment. - is responsible for preparing training programs and facilitating the professional development of their employees, as well as fostering the growth and advancement of their work team. Complies with—and ensures that the personnel under their supervision comply with—the ehs procedures related to their area, and provides everything necessary for the execution of all ehs procedures, such as hand tools and spare parts for production equipment.accountability including kpis- output/utilization % - performane to schedule % - variance - scrap pcs/$ - ibbs/ebbs - machines per operator # - absorption $ - turnover% - absenteeism% - training certifications - maintenance cost - downtime - cost savings due to ci projects - footif, production cost versus standards (sold to customers), sample management - rc/ltii/dlprofile (experience & qualifications)required qualifications:- degree in industrial, mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics engineering, or a related field. - minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership positions within manufacturing, preferably in the plastics, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries. - extensive experience in injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion processes.technical knowledge:- in-depth knowledge of injection molding and blow molding parameters. - operation of automated equipment and industrial robotics. - knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance for molds and machinery. - experience leading multidisciplinary teams. - intermediate-to-advanced english proficiency (ability to communicate with local and international clients).desirable qualifications:certifications:- certification in lean manufacturing, six sigma, tpm, or similar methodologies. - continuous improvement tools: - experience implementing continuous improvement projects (kaizen, 5s, smed).erp systems:- proficiency in sap or other erp systems.industrial safety knowledge:- familiarity with osha regulations and iso 45001 standards. - technical skills - analysis and resolution of complex technical problems. - interpretation of blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics. - statistical process control (spc). - management of production metrics (oee, scrap rates, efficiency). - basic programming of plcs and automated systems. - knowledge of process validation and technology transfer.soft skills:- leadership: ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent. - communication: effective communication at all levels of the organization. - decision-making: data-driven and results-oriented. - change management: adaptability and promotion of innovation. - teamwork: collaboration with other departments/areas. - conflict resolution: assertive and diplomatic conflict resolution.
