job description
essential functions of job:
* guarantee compliance with bos, plus, pos, sox procedures for all team/group members.
* indirect purchasing:
* participate in developing and implementing commodity strategies for indirect goods & services, tooling, machinery and equipment (tme), and logistics.
* support appropriate purchase-to-pay (ptp) processes.
* support the implementation of strategies and actions to reduce and consolidate suppliers, in line with targets.
* support the execution of global commodity strategies.
* collaborate proactively with other regions to leverage volumes and common supplier sourcing.
* implement strategies to achieve fiscal year cost reduction goals, including po-to-po reductions and rebates.
* support accurate and timely reporting of key metrics.
* improve working capital through optimal payment terms.
* implement and continuously improve standardization activities.
* support operations in continuous improvement projects.
* provide customer service to operations facilities for all indirect purchasing needs.
additional responsibilities:
* oversee all program purchasing activities, executing decisions aligned with customer demands and commodity strategies.
* manage suppliers throughout the program lifecycle: rfq, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolution.
* perform cost analysis on goods purchased via competitive bidding or cost breakdown analysis.
* purchase goods, materials, and services that meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery targets.
* utilize strategic sourcing practices to select best value suppliers and execute sourcing per internal processes.
* prepare purchase orders aligned with negotiations and program targets.
* communicate and mitigate supply problems impacting business operations.
* ensure compliance with internal systems such as yf ios, pmp, etc., for audit readiness.
* support make-or-buy decisions.
* engage in materials best practices activities, including va/ve and kaizen.
* identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and faster delivery with suppliers.
* lead discussions with suppliers on product, process, or cost changes affecting agreements.

* experience in planning, negotiations, contract management.
* technical knowledge of purchasing and erp systems.
* effective time management and prioritization skills.
* ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
* good project management skills.
preferred qualifications:
* proficiency in word, excel, typing.
* experience with office equipment.
* strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* ability to understand and retain technical knowledge.
