this role involves pricing architecture, margin optimization, new product launches, cost optimization, and collaboration with leadership to design and execute strategic initiatives. This is a business-impact role where excel, analytical rigor, and collaboration meet strategy and execution.
responsibilities
* design and build robust financial models for new products, markets, and strategic scenarios to estimate opportunity size, profitability, and integration into the 5-year plan and year-to-go (ytg) forecasts.
* consolidate and analyze monthly actual results for revenue, costs, and expenses with detailed visibility by channel, country, client, and product line, ensuring alignment with erp and birdman's financial definitions.
* coordinate, automate, and optimize the financial forecasting process (ytg) to ensure methodological consistency and cross-functional alignment across finance, cmi, marketing, and leadership.
* lead cross-functional strategic projects that directly impact sales growth, margins, and operational efficiency (e.g., pricing analysis, packaging optimization, cost structure reviews, p&l design by client or channel, revenue/profitability initiatives, and dashboard/forecasting tool automation).
* collaborate with cmi, marketing, operations, finance, and sales to integrate market insights, competitive data, and internal performance metrics into financial models for informed decision-making.
* translate strategic opportunities into quantifiable scenarios to enable fast, data-driven decisions on sales, market share, and profitability growth.
* maintain data quality, traceability, and consistency through structured methodologies, clear documentation of assumptions, and scalable models for reliable decision-making from the first delivery.
requirements
professional experience
* education: bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, finance, economics, actuarial science, business administration, or a related field.
* experience: 2-3 years in financial planning, business intelligence, strategy, or internal consulting, ideally in cpg, retail, or e-commerce. Hands-on experience building financial projection models (revenue, costs, profitability — forecast, ytg, business cases). Participation in strategic projects such as pricing, expansion, p&l design, or reporting automation.
technical skills
* advanced excel with expertise in structured tables, linked formulas, financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and version control.
* power query proficiency to consolidate information from multiple sources (erp, workfiles, internal collaborators, third-party reports).
* ability to build business models and p&ls by channel, client, or country, considering margins, discounts, and costs.
* data rigor: ensure traceability, clean structures, and clear documentation of assumptions and logic.
* analytical thinking with a strong focus on financial outcomes.
* adaptability to manage non-recurring projects with changing objectives and multiple stakeholders.
