*responsibilities*: viasat is currently seeking a project manager in the mexico city or monterrey area to join our growing team.
in this exciting role, you will have the following, but not limited to, responsibilities: - determine and define project scope and objectives - predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner - develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
drive program governance with the internal stakeholders and 3rd parties on a weekly and monthly basis.
- provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress - utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution - alignment of everyone around the objectives and goals of the project and ensure the "why" is known.
- monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- measure project performance to identify areas for improvement - understand key customers & stakeholders' objectives and key metrics.
- build relationships and trust with the cross-functional teams and team members.
*requirements*: - bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field - 2-4 years of project management and related experience - proven ability to solve problems creatively - proven project management and self-management skills.

- strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills - strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices - experience seeing projects through the full life cycle - strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful - proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope and timeline - proficiency in english (written and verbal) - proficiency with microsoft excel.
*preferences* - project management professional (pmp) certification - radio frequency (rf) and radio access network (ran) area.
