We are seeking a groups sales manager to support the commercial strategy for park hyatt riviera maya, an upcoming ultra-luxury resort positioned to become a benchmark destination in the region.
this role requires a proactive and commercially driven professional with strong experience in group sales, capable of generating demand across key segments (corporate, incentive, and social groups), while ensuring alignment with the hotel’s luxury positioning and long-term revenue strategy.
key responsibilities:
* proactively identify, solicit, and convert group business to achieve revenue targets
* manage and grow key accounts across corporate, incentive, and social segments
* prepare proposals, respond to rfps, and negotiate contracts aligned with brand standards
* maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through platforms such as cvent, hyatt systems, and direct prospecting
* collaborate with sales, marketing, revenue, and operations to ensure seamless execution and maximize group profitability
* conduct site inspections, client meetings, and participate in trade shows and industry events
* monitor market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making
ideal profile:
* bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field
* 2–4 years of experience in group sales within hospitality, preferably in luxury or upper upscale hotels
* strong knowledge of mice, corporate, and incentive segments
* proven ability to generate new business and manage complex accounts
* experience with systems such as delphi, cvent, opera, or similar platforms
* excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
