A vev warehouse technician works full-time in a prototype warehouse. The technician is responsible for ensuring the proper execution of receiving, storage, picking/packing, and shipping processes, as well as optimizing space management and ensuring proper product placement and handling based on rotation and demand.
responsibilities
1. follow all security guidelines when offloading trucks with vehicles, production, and non-production prototype materials.
2. perform all receiving processes according to global and site rules for the gpirs system and masterfile tracker.
3. create a material write-up for every box delivered, ensuring the part number and po# are included.
4. assign storage locations for materials and verify that physical locations match virtual locations.
5. receive material withdrawals and process them for pickers.
6. verify that all requested materials are correctly delivered to the customer based on the correct prototype part number/po#.
7. process export elms requests, verify the requests contain all necessary information, and review and approve requests based on customer needs, communicating all relevant information.
8. create 30-40 cfdis for materials that need to be shipped out of the company.
9. support customers requesting safety equipment.
10. train new team members in warehouse procedures such as receiving, storage, picking, and shipping.
11. create and maintain inventory control and reports.
12. conduct cycle counts to prevent discrepancies in materials.
13. collaborate closely with the logistics team for all import and export activities.
14. work off-shifts, days off, and weekends as necessary.
15. maintain a positive attitude, be proactive, and perform other duties as assigned.
16. practice and promote safe working habits and maintain a clean environment following 5s principles.
qualifications
1. high school diploma or technical degree.
2. excellent customer care skills.
3. strong organizational and administrative skills.
4. ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
5. detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.
6. one year of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
