ansell is looking for a sr. Specialist business development lac chemical to join our team in queretaro, mexico!

the business development sr specialist is a dynamic and results‐driven role within ansell's expanding team.

the position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in regional markets within the ansell hand and body protection portfolio.

the business development sr specialist fosters relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors and end users, and drives strategic initiatives to support global growth objectives through both direct and indirect sales models.

what your role will be?
* market research & analysis: conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities in targeted international markets.
* distributor relationship management: develop relationships with distributors in various regions to enhance market penetration and support sales efforts in countries where relationships do not currently exist.
* end user engagement: collaborate directly with end users to understand their needs, provide product solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions as necessary. Identify tenders and buying cycles in advance and ensure ansell solutions are specified where possible.
* lead generation: identify and pursue leads through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach to drive new business, particularly in sectors requiring chemical protection. Attend ansell trade shows
* proposal development: prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to meet the needs of potential clients, distributors, and end users in target markets.
* product knowledge: develop a deep understanding of ansell clothing products and their applications to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients and partners. Responsible for training distributors and end users on all new product development.
* cross-functional collaboration: work closely with internal teams, including local sales, marketing and product management, to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives within the region.
* performance tracking: monitor and report on business development metrics and key performance indicators specific to the chemical protective clothing sector to assess effectiveness and make informed adjustments to strategies.
* cultural adaptability: understand and navigate cultural differences to effectively communicate and negotiate with international clients, distributors, and end users.
what will you bring to ansell? Key position requirements
* proven success in closing deals and achieving sales targets in diverse markets.
* strong understanding of regional business practices, regulations, and cultural nuances.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, distributors, and partners.
* proficient in data analysis and market research.
* ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
education
* bachelor's degree required; master's degree is a plus.
job experience
* minimum 3 years in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in protective clothing or safety equipment.
* experience creating new business in specialized, highly regulated markets.
knowledge and skills
* strong business acumen with solid financial and systems knowledge.
* ability to drive customer development through strategic approaches.
* proven success operating in a matrix environment and coordinating cross‐departmental resources.
* understanding of channel development and direct sales models.
* proficiency in english; additional languages are a plus.
desirable job competencies
* highly motivated and accountable for planning, execution, and forecasting.
* strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* effective stakeholder management and ability to align cross‐functional teams.
additional requirements
* travel up to 25%.
