impact and opportunity
meeting the production requirements of its value chain operations is an essential function and continuous improvement for gentherm celaya.
essential functions and responsibilities
* coordinate the group leader’s work to meet the production schedule and their value stream kpis and eh&s indicators.
* seek the necessary collaboration from support departments to meet vsl objectives.
* maintain visual information to reflect value stream results compared to the objectives, controls, and indicators of the various management systems (iatf, iso).
* assume responsibility for the results of their value streams.
* seek and promote the necessary conditions to achieve continuous improvement.
* comply with and enforce the internal work regulations.
* ensure that manufacturing operations are carried out by properly trained personnel.
* ensure that manufacturing procedures and policies are approved and applied.
* contribute to the achievement of plant goals and objectives.
* maintain good communication and coordination with counterparts on the other shift.
* approve evaluations, leaves of absence, and disciplinary actions for personnel under their responsibility.
* make personnel requisitions to maintain the necessary number of staff in their area.
* create and promote a safe and professional work environment.
* stop production when circumstances affect safety, quality, compliance with procedures, or adverse environmental impacts.
* ensure that equipment and/or tools are in safe condition for operation. If not, they must be locked out and marked as unserviceable, preventing their use until they are repaired or replaced.
* inform the maintenance department of unsafe equipment and/or tools as soon as possible.
* execute the manufacturing engineering portion of the pcp.
* participate in and comply with the requirements applicable to their position regarding the iatf 16949 and iso 14001/iso 45001 quality management system.
* process approach: manage with a process approach to achieve objectives, using pdca and a prevention mindset.
* risk planning and analysis: use risk-based thinking, including risk identification, cause and consequence analysis, risk assessment, and treatment, documented as evidence for control.
* lifecycle perspective: identify environmental aspects throughout the area of responsibility, considering inputs and outputs of processes.
minimum qualifications
* university degree
* 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
* communication skills

* knowledge of iso 14001, iatf 16949, and iso 45001
