Project accountant
we are seeking a skilled project accountant to join our corporate control north america team. This role will be part of the accounting services group, focusing on project accounting for our it division.
as a project accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and transparent financial records. You will own the month-end close process, prepare and process journal entries, and ensure that every expense follows gaap and policies.
you will guide project and finance managers with accounting insights across project lifecycles, analyze financial statements, and spot trends, issues, or opportunities. You will also support the annual operating plan and out-of-plan project releases, perform sox controls, and fix misclassified data.
the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, and solid excel skills. They will also have a strong grasp of accounting principles and data reconciliation.
a confident decision-maker with good judgment and a clear, collaborative communicator will thrive in this role. Bonus points if you have experience with sap general ledger & project systems or cpc certification.
