We are seeking a detail‐oriented and highly creative senior product design and development engineer to lead the development of innovative foam products. This role acts as a key liaison between our manufacturing plants in cuautitlán, mexico, and the u.corporate product development team. They will manage the full product development cycle—from concept creation and optimization to prototyping and feasibility validation—while driving design‐for‐manufacturability. Drive the full commercial product development cycle — from initial concept and strategy through retail launch. Translate consumer insights, competitive analysis, and user-centered design principles into innovative, market-ready retail foam product solutions. Ensure products meet performance criteria, including visual design, functionality, cost, manufacturability, compliance, and development timelines. Create design sketches, cad models, manufacturing drawings, and comprehensive product specifications. Hands-on development and evaluation of commercial prototypes to refine product function, feel, appearance, and packaging. Shape and evolve the long-term retail product roadmap while staying agile in response to short-term market trends and consumer demands. Support retail sales and marketing teams with customer samples and product information.bachelor's degree in product design, industrial or mechanical engineering. ~7+ years of experience in product development, with experience in consumer goods, furniture and/or the bedding industry. Proficiency in cad (solidworks) and adobe creative suite (photoshop & illustrator required). ~ ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. ~ fluent in english. ~ analytical and data-driven approach to decision making. Experience managing projects with both internal and external resources.
