the opportunity
the r&d region process engineer will develop and implement processes for new products and technologies to achieve differentiated designs to deliver flawless execution of the aop initiatives in biscuits latam. Support the productivity and brand stewardship local/regional agendas.
your impact
as r&d region process engineer your responsibilities would consist of:
* lead the scale-up and commissioning of new product initiatives aligned with the annual strategic plan of biscuits pepsico mexico foods, across technologies such as marshmallow, coated products, fruit fillings, rotary molding, wirecut, decorated products, oat flours, and instant oats.
* design and validate processes: define operating conditions, ensure product replicability, and deliver technical documentation to manufacturing and operations.
* execute pilot plant trials to simulate processes, collect data, and accelerate the definition of parameters for scale-up and industrial launch.
* provide technical solutions to transform concepts and prototypes into industrialized products, supporting the aop agenda.
* conduct technical assessments with co-manufacturers to explore new biscuit processes and technologies that enable innovative launches.
* contribute to the selection and purchasing of new equipment for both traditional and emerging biscuit technologies.
* support the latam operations team (cookies, crackers and grains) in brand maintenance, equipment commissioning, and new line implementations.
qualifications:
who are we looking for?
* bachelor's degree in food engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or related fields.
* advanced english (spoken and written).
* 1–2 years of experience in processes, product development, manufacturing or production or a master's degree.
* dynamic and proactive, with the ability to adapt to different environments and challenges.
* strong technical leadership to translate ideas into feasible products and processes.
* collaborative, open to new ideas, and eager to explore digital innovations.
* comfortable with frequent travel (up to 70%) across mexico and latam to support projects.
