key responsibilities
* analyze financial data and prepare financial reports for clients, including tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities.
* reconcile bank accounts, including gathering and balancing relevant financial information.
* process accounting paperwork, including bank statements and client documentation.
* coordinate accounting workflows to ensure timely and high-quality output.
* build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their accounting and financial needs.
* ensure compliance with u.s. federal, state, and local financial regulations.
* work collaboratively with senior team members, receiving guidance and taking on more complex tasks as you develop.
* occasional extended business hours may be required when necessary.
* other responsibilities as assigned.
required qualifications and experience
* bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* +2 years of accounting experience or relevant internships, with a clear understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* intermediate to advanced knowledge of microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook, and powerpoint).
* basic to intermediate knowledge of quickbooks.
* advanced proficiency in english and spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients in both languages (reading, writing, and speaking).
* knowledge of us corporate and personal tax regulations is a plus.
ideal qualifications
* experience working in a cpa or bookkeeping firm.
* exposure to payroll processing or tax filing (sales, payroll, or tangible taxes).
* familiarity with creative solutions suite (ultratax cs and practice cs).
* experience working with us-based companies.
