* repair or replace damaged or worn upholstery in all vehicles and equipment.
* repair or replace upholstery to match existing material and workmanship quality.
* repairs and fabricates headliners of all types of motor vehicles including door cover panels.
* remove old upholstery and linings from vehicles.
* take measurements and select appropriate materials to be used.
* sew materials together and fasten them in place.
* finish with trims and edging.
* observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
* performs other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
*basic qualifications* must be familiar with the use of sewing machines and understand the importance of performing operational maintenance of the machine.
* must be familiar with the fabrics required.
* must know how to interpret drawings.
* must speak, read, and understand the english language.
* must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
* must have a valid country of origin's driver's license.
