This position involves managing internet service provider (isp) connections, negotiating contracts, resolving network connectivity issues, and optimizing the global network architecture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network engineering, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing complex network environments. What you’ll be doing isp management: manage and optimize regional isp connections to ensure network stability and performance, monitoring for issues and coordinating with providers for upgrades. Contract negotiation: handle contract and service level agreement (sla) negotiations with isp vendors to secure quality service and cost-effectiveness, while managing vendor relationships. Network troubleshooting: resolve cross-regional connectivity problems, perform root cause analysis for wan incidents, and escalate complex issues as needed. Network optimization: improve global network architecture for better performance, reliability, and security by developing policies and conducting regular assessments. Collaboration: work closely with other it teams (security, infrastructure, etc.) to ensure seamless network integration and provide technical guidance. Documentation: maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and knowledge base articles for common issues. What we're looking for education: bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Experience: 3 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on wan management. Proven experience managing isp relationships and negotiating contracts. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Technical skills: strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., tcp/ip, bgp, mpls, vpn). Experience with network security best practices. Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and technologies (e.g., aws, azure, google cloud). Soft skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Certifications (preferred): cisco certified network professional (ccnp) or equivalent. Other relevant network certifications.
