Logistics engineering manager
job overview:
as a logistics engineering manager, you will play a key role in leading and coaching our logistics engineering network to ensure we have the right competencies and processes in place to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
key responsibilities:
* ensure that site logistics engineering teams have the necessary professional competencies on logistics standards and tools through regular assessments.
* identify and address gaps versus defined standards, contributing to the development of action plans, including those arising from repetitive or critical open incidents.
* standardize job routines to perform tasks efficiently and robustly.
* drive logistics performance through dedicated kpis (logistics dashboard/p&l).
* implement group logistics standards, working methods, methodologies, and digital solutions with the site logistics engineering team.
* promote standardization of packaging and labeling following logistics requirements.
* implement physical flow solutions (receiving automation, agvs, conveyors, etc.).
* promote efficient and accurate usage of digital solutions and standards, such as wms - warehouse management system, supplier asn, etc.
* contribute to innovative solutions, such as logistics flow simulation or digital layout solutions.
* ensure inventory accuracy through robust process implementation, including cycle counting organization.
* perform antolin industrial system roadmaps and working methods assessment, including team on-job training related to physical flows and logistics engineering.
* perform training programs on logistics engineering networks (logistics engineering team, logistics flow analyst, etc.).
* support sites in value stream map usage, focusing on logistics shop floor design and physical flows improvement.
* detect and escalate gaps in group safety standards application.
requirements:
* degree in engineering, production, or similar field.
* minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions in the automotive sector.
* english conversation level.
