The team works closely with regional and corporate stakeholders, audit partners, and operating units to ensure robust internal controls and a strong control culture across the organization. what you can look forward to as internal controls coordinator:
* monitor and ensure compliance with corporate internal control system (ics) policies and standards.
* implement, maintain, and continuously improve irc procedures within the shared services center.
* train and support accounting teams (ap, ar, gl) on irc requirements and control execution.
* coordinate and manage internal control testing, including design and operating effectiveness testing.
* act as the main point of contact for internal and external audit teams regarding irc matters.
* prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual irc reporting packages for headquarters.
* identify control gaps, assess risks, and drive remediation plans in cooperation with stakeholders.
* promote a strong internal control culture and support continuous compliance awareness.
your profile as internal controls coordinator:
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
* 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including 2–4 years in gl and tax
* strong knowledge of mx and us gaap and ifrs
* proven experience with internal controls, audits, and compliance frameworks
* advanced ms office skills (excel, powerpoint, word); sap/qad knowledge preferred
* strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skills
* high ethical standards, attention to detail, and a proactive, organized work style
* bilingual (spanish/english) with high verbal and written fluency (80–90%)
