The accountant oversees the accounting activities for mexico overall accounts payable cycle, expense reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, according to the established policies and procedures for all asm assembly systems americas entities.
*key responsibilities and duties / essential functions*:
- process expense reports in certify.
- perform full accounts payable cycle for third party vendor and affiliates.
- handle corporation tax (include payroll, imss, federal and local tax)
- manage monthly closing and reporting for mexico office.
- assist with human resources, administration and purchasing.
- monitor and prepare monthly cash flow projection for corporate headquarters.
- assist in ar collection, including global key accounts.
- produce ad hoc reports as required by accounting manager or facility manager.
- maintain corporate meeting minutes, contracts and policy and procedures.

while performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to move from one place to another, stay in one position for periods of time, communicate with others and exchange information. May need to lift or move office supplies or other items weighing up to 20 pounds.
*expected hours of work*:
days and hours of work are typically monday through friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as assigned by supervisor. This position regularly requires long hours and may require weekend work. We offer a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote.
*travel*:
limited international and domestic travel required - 5-15%
*qualifications and skills*:
- strong gl experience
- advanced ms excel skills
- intermediate to advanced sap skills
- good communication skills, both verbal and written
- must be detail and deadline oriented with ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- fluent in english, both written and spoken
education and experience:
ba/bs in accounting
3-5 years’ experience in accounting
