Svitla systems inc. is looking for a senior/lead manual qa engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in mexico. Our client is a modern fintech startup based in the usa that brings buy now, pay later to in-person services like home and auto repair. Through its suite of apis, they embed financing options into software platforms that thousands of businesses already use in their day-to-day operations. With the client, in-person businesses can offer financing to consumers in minutes, while consumers can pay overtime for purchases without surprises or unexpected fees. Founded by an experienced team of fintech veterans (formerly at paypal, lending club, varo, affirm, amazon, and linkedin), the client is backed by insight partners, greylock partners, and bain capital leading fintech investors. The position doesn't require test automation knowledge, but we still search for someone quite technical since there is a lot of api testing. Here are some requirements/expectations for this role: strong work ethic and extreme ownership (someone who can own the client’s domain and who does what they say they are going to do), excellent communication skills (it’s a very distributed team, and they need someone who can proactively reach out to teammates and people from different departments to get themselves unblocked strong product vision and desire to understand things, the client works very closely with both product and dev teams, so it must be someone who can comfortably work with both sides to come up with detailed test plans. Also, it’s a significant ability to work us et (ideally ct) timezone; unlike the automation crew, this position requires active involvement in meetings and pairing sessions with the devs and peers on the qa team. It is a manual qa position, so no automation framework knowledge is required. However, having a basic understanding of node.js/jest can be beneficial. The only "technical" requirement is to be familiar with postman and restful api testing. We are looking for a manual testing senior engineer/team lead with some knowledge of automation.requirements:
- expertise in building and executing comprehensive test plans and estimating testing efforts for cross-functional projects.
- strong technical background and experience working with apis.
- proficiency in-browser dev tools.
- excellent communication skills.
- understanding of modern test automation frameworks and their capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- provide detailed and timely feedback for stakeholders during all the stages of the sdlc.
- design detailed test plans based on product requirements and interviews with product and engineering.
- coordinate testing activities with offshore team members.
- contribute to release documentation to certify the test results and the quality of the testing activities.
- guide the processes, tools, and test suites.
- partner with team members to continuously improve testing capabilities and make testing results more valuable and transparent.
