about the role

this role partners with key stakeholders—people business partners, legal, talent acquisition, and people operations—to execute talent strategies that align with both local and global goals. You will be the go-to expert for employee relations, engagement, and talent development across mexico and brazil, while contributing to global people programs and a significant functional initiative.


responsibilities

* employee & manager relations: handle employee relations cases (grievances, pips, terminations), ensure compliance with local labor laws, and maintain accurate documentation.
* talent management & development: lead regional talent reviews, adapt global strategies to local needs, and facilitate manager training based on employee feedback.
* compensation & rewards: support out-of-cycle adjustments and collaborate on local leveling with the total rewards team.
* organizational support: drive organizational transformation efforts, including change management and return-to-office initiatives.
* employee lifecycle & engagement: oversee engagement programs, employer branding efforts, exit interviews, and voice of employee (voe) action planning.
* shared services & global programs: scale leadership and employee training programs and support global performance review cycles.
* data-driven insights: analyze people data, create actionable reports, and establish smart goals for continuous improvement.


qualifications

* 5–7+ years as a people partner or hr generalist in a global tech or internet company.
* proven experience providing hr business partner support across multiple countries or regions.
* solid understanding of hr concepts and regional labor compliance (mexico and brazil).
* proven experience managing employee relations investigations and documentation.
* strong ability to influence and build partnerships with people leaders and stakeholders.
* business acumen, analytical skills, and systems thinking with a global/local lens.
* ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* fluency in english; spanish and/or portuguese is a strong advantage.
* high emotional intelligence and commitment to continuous improvement.
