the *cs&l cdt manager* links the supply chain to customer development and is responsible for ensuring that is aligned both internally within colgate and externally with customer/intermediaries expectations.
*responsibilities*:
- provides to supply chain leadership and support to assigned team(s) by using our capabilities and expertise as it pertains to supply chain management, processes and systems with our customers/intermediaries.
- provides a critical link between demand planning and colgate business planning to ensure alignment.
- generates growth and profitability opportunities for both customers/intermediaries and colgate-palmolive by working with their counterpart(s) to reduce cost, improve customer service and implement process innovation.
- contributes to the ongoing development of standard processes across the supply chain and customer development organizations and ensures that collaborative supply chain initiatives are agreed, developed and implemented with excellence.
- collaborate with the order fulfillment process (order to delivery) in order to ensure delivery of outstanding customer service to customers. Additionally, this will necessitate driving timely process issue resolution to ensure joint goals are achieved.
- monitors performance metrics to understand service and efficiency trends within assigned customers and find opportunities for improvement. Shares performance information with the team and customers to develop collaborative approaches to accurate inefficient behaviors or fix system disconnects.
- coordinates cross-functional work teams to eliminate root causes of customer supply chain inefficiency and out of stocks (oos) - by evaluating customer pos data and category management.
- leads business execution of new programs and initiatives including but not limited to: promotional activities, new product launches, product flow planning, and network changes/redesigns.
- leads implementation of valuable services such as cpfr, vmi, edi etc.
- actively participates in ‘demand planning’ both internal and with the customers (merchandising and replenishment departments) to ensure execution of plan by customer and fulfillment of colgate-palmolive at the lowest total delivered cost.
- leverages information from business tools, customer plans, and information systems to generate a customer level plan. Collaborates with the entire cdt and the customer to improve customer service, distribution, and promotional activity.
- successfully handles data flow, communication and processes associated with new and transitioning sku’s, material status (e.g. Slob, discontinued) and ensures synchronization with customer’s database.
- collaborating with the customers to identify process and execution improvements to increase on-shelf availability and decrease costs.
- addresses special customer needs and expectations around product packaging, calling upon the appropriate supply chain and demand chain resources to develop/offer the most efficient solutions. Coordinates special pack development across supply chain functions.
- works with team to deliver expected return on investment (roi) and projected cost savings for special packs.
- works cross-functionally to use the adoption of b2b crucial enablers, following prescribed industry standards. This also entails a leadership role with respect to product identification and data synchronization.
- identifies inconsistencies in total volume plan based on customer knowledge and historical shipment volumes.
- responsible to implement supply chain plans as agreed with customers to improve return on investment (e.g., product availability, customer ordering)
- monitors the cpg/customer performance against established supply chain important metrics (e.g., inventory levels) and recommends areas of improvement
- identifies shortfalls or potential upsides based on interim evaluation of 5p activities, and develops recommendations to address
*requirements*:
- bachelor´s degree in business administration, engineering, finance or related field.
- advanced english level
- 5 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics position.
- experience working with sap
- analytical skills, influence and negotiation.
- desirable experience managing a team.
- desirable experience managing external clients.
