we are seeking a dedicated
logistics operations professional
to join our ocean operations team at ceva a&o mexico, based in alcaldia benito juarez, mexico. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth coordination of import and export shipments across various transport modes, with a primary focus on maritime and air freight.
as a logistics operations professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational stability and excellence, thereby directly impacting customer satisfaction and service continuity. You will manage the end-to-end shipment process from coordination to documentation and follow-up, working closely with shipping lines, airlines, transport carriers, and international agents.
key responsibilities
coordinate import and export shipments comprehensively, ensuring timely and accurate execution through all transport phases.
maintain consistent communication and follow-up with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure operational milestones and deadlines are met.
update and manage operational milestones using cargowise, guaranteeing accurate tracking and visibility of shipment status.
validate critical shipping documentation including bills of lading (bl), air waybills (awb), commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (sops) established by clients, contributing to compliance and quality assurance.
perform basic cost control to align operational expenses with approved quotations, supporting cost-effectiveness and budget adherence.
identify potential operational risks proactively and elevate issues promptly to mitigate impact on service levels.
offer transparent operational visibility to clients when applicable, fostering trust and strong business relationships.
collaborate effectively with overseas agents and various internal departments to facilitate seamless logistics operations.

problem-solving aptitude with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
