summary
the customer sc associate is responsible for the overall management and improvement of customer supply planning & order management within the assigned cluster. This includes overseeing logistics, customs clearance, and product replenishment from factories to ensure high-performance dispatch and customer supply. The role is a critical component for achieving corporate sales and operational goals within the designated cluster by building strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, both internal & external.
major duties / responsibilities
gs delivery 40%
* responsible for tracking and reporting monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year gs (gross sales) against targets.
* work closely with hbp team to ensure orders are planned and invoiced as expected, ensuring hbp are prioritizing correctly across all orders.
* provide clear and precise gs updates to the team, highlighting any key movements and assisting in the analysis of underlying reasons.
* communicate with the supply planning team to follow up on the status of production and delivery for customer orders, noting any potential issues that could impact on-time, in-full (otif) delivery.
* lead communications with distributors, providing them with timely updates on product cuts and potential gs gaps.
* ensure a robust & timely communication flow with distributors for all inventory/supply related issues.
* monitor dos for key distributors, ensuring dos is at target for key customers.
* respect each distributor’s replenishment metrics when discussing order supportability, taking inventory levels, freshness requirements, container utilization, production moqs, etc. into consideration.
* contribute to driving improvement projects with distributors in areas of supply planning and inventory.
supply optimization 20%
* closely work with supply planners to understand production frequencies, moqs, and any aging issues to ensure optimum supply to customers.
* manage e2e trex supply planning.
* responsible for key supply kpis such as container utilization, case fill rate & on time delivery.
* support with cross collaborative projects with hbp to drive process enhancements/ implementation of new tools to improve the overall planning process & visibility both internally & externally to customers.
* monitor wmape & bias for key distributors and proactively manage supply planning with factories/co‑mans accordingly to minimize negative impact on business.
* assist in collecting and analyzing data for process enhancement projects.
ddd charges 5%
* check and approve packaging and raw material write off charges related to discontinuation or replacement of items.
* closely monitor aging report and take immediate action to reduce ddd charges and manage excess inventory.
* work with sales team for opportunities for any aging stock.
* in case of excess stock, co‑ordinate with supply planner for possibility of re‑packing it for us market or work with ddd team for liquidation.
npd & seasonal support 5%
* support the wider team on the development of npds and the launches of new co‑manufacturers.
* input operational timelines, data, and context as needed for all projects.
* perform new item set up for forecast management.
* participate in supply review meetings to communicate with sales & marketing about npd updates.
* for any un‑forecasted seasonal orders, check with supply planners for possibility of support without cutting other customers’ forecast.
* share seasonal forecast timeline with distributors regularly and ensure that distributors update forecast and orders within the given timeline. Ensure orders fall in the right week.
skills and abilities required
* fluent in spanish and english (written and verbal), able to communicate effectively in a business context.
* basic understanding of supply chain principles (forecasting, inventory, order management).
* willingness to learn more advanced concepts over time.
* general awareness of the fmcg industry and its customer service expectations.
* actively builds knowledge of business priorities and customer requirements.
* basic experience or training with erp systems (e.g., sap or similar).
* willing to learn and navigate customer portals or internal systems with support.
* comfortable with microsoft office, especially excel (e.g., data entry, basic formulas, pivot tables).
* learns to use excel/power bi to support data reporting and visualization tasks.
* participates in s&op/ibm meetings as a support role as needed.
* gains exposure to collaborative planning and alignment processes between supply and commercial teams.
* ability to work under deadlines & communicate effectively with internal/external cross functional partners at all levels.
* good follow‑up skills, get things done, ability to work independently and prioritize.
* strong influencing skills & leadership drive results.
* business collaboration and ownership – ability to question and challenge commercial team/distributors where necessary.

education
* bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, industrial engineering, management engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a quantitative business science preferred, but not a must.
* master’s degree / supply chain management diploma / apics certification are a plus.
experience
* minimum 3‑5 years of work experience in supply chain related roles.
* prior demand planning experience preferred.
