for our major appliances business area europe, we are looking for a new product introduction quality engineer in fabric care, to lead quality activities in the product development of fabric care products, with the aim to deliver best in class consumer experiences.
in this role, you will deliver a step forward improvement of quality, focusing on new products development and major cost out projects.
you will ensure the introduction of new products maintains our quality leadership.
you will guarantee the application of common rules, methodologies, and standardization across functions and plants.

in your role, you will report operationally to the fabric care quality director.
key outcomes:
* develop outstanding products that delight consumers and satisfy the needs of the business and shareholders through the introduction of new products or concept design.
* ensure the feasibility of execution in the manufacturing environment.
* establish consistent project management for quality activities according to overall project needs, checkpoints, and deliverables.
* promote and develop a rigorous approach for requirements and capabilities within partner functions (r&d, product line, design, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, consumer service).
* coordinate quality plans with involved plant quality departments.
key activities and responsibilities:
* translate project requirements and attribute targets into structured validation plans, ensuring adherence to project timelines and supporting evaluations with test evidence.
* identify knowledge gaps in project planning and develop validation activities (test to learn, test to fail, risk assessment).
* activate and attend dfmeas for main projects, evaluating risks and challenging the status quo.
* develop and promote testing portfolios to assess usability in real consumer conditions.
* participate in pfmea sessions to ensure project execution aligns with manufacturing capabilities and supports pcp definition.
* be proficient with automation and process controls planned for new products, providing recommendations for gaps or improvements.
* promote spc and lean tools to secure process control and eliminate waste.
* identify root causes for deviations and collaborate on corrective actions.
* maintain product knowledge to develop testing portfolios for risk and opportunity evaluation.
* create structured documentation to communicate evaluation outcomes, contributing to project deliverables.
* coordinate involvement of plant quality teams across projects.
you are:
* capable of understanding and embracing a broad approach: consumer satisfaction, continuous improvement, efficiency, empowerment, and process management.
* experienced with key quality tools and methodologies.
* driven by business goals and achievement.
* proficient in project management methodologies.
* able to work in an international, non-hierarchical environment.
* skilled in networking at all organizational levels, internally and externally.

* digitally-minded with strategic insight and solutions.
minimum qualifications:
university degree in engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in quality, r&d, pl, industrial operations, or customer service. Experience in innovation activation processes and cps deliverables. Passionate about consumer experience. Knowledge of fabric care products is a plus.
