as part of its ongoing expansion in north america, the company is strengthening its quality leadership at its mexico manufacturing site.
position overview
this position is responsible for plant-level quality leadership, covering quality management system governance, manufacturing process quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
the role works closely with cross-functional teams and serves as the primary quality interface with china headquarters.
key responsibilitiesquality system & compliance governance
lead and continuously enhance the plant quality management system in alignment with corporate and customer standards.
oversee internal and external audits, ensure timely corrective action closure, and act as the core quality liaison between the plant and china headquarters.
process quality control & problem solving
monitor critical manufacturing processes and analyze quality data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (capa) for quality issues and customer complaints, driving sustainable reductions in defects and quality-related costs.
application of quality tools & methodologies
champion the use of quality tools such as fmea, 8d, spc, and msa to ensure process stability and risk mitigation.
lead quality planning during process changes and production ramp-up, and promote structured problem-solving and continuous improvement practices across the organization.
cross-functional leadership
collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards into daily operations.
communicate effectively with chinese-speaking and english-speaking stakeholders and oversee supplier quality activities when required.
bachelor's degree or above in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related disciplines).
minimum of 10 years of quality experience in manufacturing environments.
experience in foreign-owned or joint-venture manufacturing companies is preferred.
background in electric motors, electrical, electromechanical, or industrial manufacturing is highly desirable.
skills & competencies
strong expertise in quality management systems and manufacturing quality control.
proven hands-on experience with fmea, 8d, and structured root cause analysis.
ability to translate data insights into operational improvements.
demonstrated leadership capability with accountability for plant-level quality performance.
language requirements
fluent chinese for communication with headquarters and professional-level english for daily business operations.
