The nvh project performance engineer (ppe) plays a critical role in ensuring optimal vehicle system performance related to noise, vibration, and sound quality.
typical responsibilities of ppes include but are not limited to:
- support successful integration of all nvh sub-systems (e.g., radio, anc, propulsion) into the vehicle.
- support all nvh assessments (test/cae), such as powertrain, road, wind, and accessory noise, at each program stage, while monitoring progress towards targets and plans
- engagement of relevant teams to ensure nvh enablers are implemented into the final design and all relevant nvh vehicle targets are met.
- support cross-functional meetings, coordinate benchmarking, standardized testing, and target setting.
- thorough analysis of nvh data including summary and recommendations.
- preparation of clear and concise presentations/summaries in support of management reviews.
- maintenance of program scorecards and detailed recovery plans
- support value optimization activities while maintaining intended nvh character at product/vehicle level.
- support process improvement actions in the organization to improve operational and economic efficiencies.
some responsibilities specific to plant support are:
- support program launch/start of production and serial life at stap, functioning as liaison to ctc.
- engage plant bsr/quality/audit groups to quantify initial quality and define steps towards improvement.
- develop and adapt test procedures to support plant activities using stap tools i.e.
bsr track, 4 post shaker.
