as a heat treat pyrometry sca engineer here at honeywell, you will use your expertise in heat treat pyrometry to ensure the accuracy and reliability of temperature measurement and control systems in our aerospace special processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pyrometry standards, provide technical support for special processes equipment calibrations, and to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. You will report directly to our special processes engineering manager and you'll work out of our mexicali, mexico location.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our heat treat processes by ensuring accurate temperature measurement and control, reducing process variability, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
*key responsibilities*:
- develop, maintain, and implement pyrometry standards and procedures for heat treat processes according to mainly ams 2750 and ac7102 nadcap checklists
- provide engineering support for special processes equipment calibrations and validations to ensure accurate temperature measurement
- provide technical support and troubleshooting for special processes pyrometry-related issues
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements conduct training sessions to educate special processes personnel on pyrometry best practices
*you must have*:
- bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- advanced english
- 10+ years of experience in heat treat pyrometry, nadcap/special processes audits or a similar role
- in-depth knowledge of pyrometry standards (ams 2750), nadcap requirements, and industry best practices
