what success looks like in this role:
* develops and implements operational policies within region
* partners with the management team to align field services policies and systems with the company's objectives and client contracts
* collects and evaluates metrics daily, weekly, and monthly for resource forecasting, monitoring of customer service activities, and evaluation of internal process needs
* provides internal stakeholders (client executives, service delivery managers, and the executive team) with summary information regarding customer service metrics and key activities per client
* oversees customer issues and ensures effective and long-term problem resolution
* develops and implements procedures for the efficient operation of the field services organization within the region
* monitors programs to ensure timely support and customer satisfaction
* maintains working knowledge of unisys systems and processes
* sets performance standards to meet service goals
* coaches field engineering team to achieve high performance
* provides feedback and leads resolutions to the company regarding service failures or client concerns
* keeps up-to-date on customer service, sales, and supervisory procedures & practices
* responds to customer inquiries in a professional and effective manner
* performs other related duties as assigned
you will be successful in this role if you have:
* bachelor's degree in business or it related field
* 8-10 years experience in it roles of progressive responsibility
* 7+ years of customer service experience and 5+ years in management/leadership
* experience managing a team and supervising professional staff
* proficient with ms office, including word and excel
* excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* experience using data and metrics to drive efficiencies
* ability to work well within a team and resolve customer service problems
* experience using field services management software platforms such as servicenow

a snapshot of your day:
the position provides maintenance to large turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems, and supports the development of detailed cost estimates for maintenance quotes and bids related to turbines and generators in response to rfqs.
how you'll make an impact:
* direct teams of field service engineers, technicians and craft labor in installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting
* coordinate and manage staffing of project teams at customer sites
* provide combustion turbine knowledge to division management, customer management, product line management and suppliers
* implement scope with siemens energy field service procedures and coordinate with engineering to solve on-site issues
* review and execute customer contract requirements
* ensure compliance with ehs, quality, and related protocols
* develop comprehensive cost estimates for quotes and bids to align with scope and budget
what you bring:
* bachelor of science in mechanical engineering or related field
* 8+ years of sales and technical field service experience with oems; troubleshooting and maintenance experience a plus
* commercial mindset; proficient in ms excel; strong presentations and proposals in english
* understanding of power generation market dynamics
* strong time management, organization, and multi-project prioritization
* willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50%)
