Responsibilities
- Lead cost reduction initiatives through strategic negotiations and optimization of landed costs, including logistics and tariff management.
- Improve working capital by negotiating extended supplier payment terms.
- Support fulfillment and quality objectives by conducting supplier performance reviews, recovering defect‑related costs, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to eliminate premium freight and ensure timely PO confirmation.
- Forecast key financial metrics including deflation, tariffs, expense/investment spend and cash improvement.
- Collaborate across business units to identify and execute synergy savings opportunities.
- Develop and execute long‑term global sourcing strategies for assigned sub‑commodities.
- Ensure supply continuity and competitiveness by maintaining dual sourcing and negotiating long‑term strategic agreements.
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to prioritize cost‑out efforts for key products and programs.
- Monitor market indices and trends to inform sourcing decisions and drive proactive action plans.
- Manage RFQs, evaluate supplier offers, negotiate terms and execute contracts.
- Lead contract amendments and re‑negotiations as needed.
- Escalate and resolve major supplier issues once elevated.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Candidates with 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain or program management may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, fulfillment or program management.
- Experience with engineered systems or heavy industrial commodities is a strong plus.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with other data tools is beneficial.
- Broad understanding of supply chain functions, including procurement, operations, fulfillment, quality and engineering processes.
- Demonstrated negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking and writing English.
