THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about driving efficient, people-focused processes and delivering operational excellence? Wella is seeking a People Operations Lead to take ownership of a key HR function across multiple country clusters (Mexico, Brazil and Argentina). This role plays a critical part in ensuring best-in-class HR operations, compliance, and employee experience, while partnering closely with regional and local People teams.
What You’ll Own & Drive:
- Lead end-to-end People Operations for a cluster of countries, including payroll and HR administration;
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies;
- Manage employment documentation across the employee lifecycle (contracts, onboarding packs, exit letters, etc.);
- Support mobility documentation and relocation processes;
- Maintain accurate data in HR systems for payroll and reporting;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and precise payroll cycles;
- Continuously improve and streamline People Ops processes across countries;
- Manage the People inbox and respond to employee queries with empathy and efficiency;
- Administer benefits and ensure compliance with local regulations;
- Support compensation processes including salary reviews, bonuses, and ad hoc payments;
- Partner with payroll vendors and finance teams to meet payroll deadlines;
- Keep People Ops documentation audit-ready and legally compliant;
- Be the go-to expert for employee queries on payroll, benefits, and HR admin;
- Reconcile payroll with Finance and manage GL codes;
- Contribute to People Ops projects and support your team with passion and drive.
What You Bring:
Must-Haves:
- Solid experience in People Operations, ideally across multiple countries;
- Strong payroll expertise, especially in Brazil and Mexico;
- Experience working with ADP payroll systems (GV module);
- Solid background in HR administration and data accuracy;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- High ownership mindset, detail-oriented, and solution-driven;
- Collaborative communicator and team player;
- Organized, deadline-focused, and structured in approach;
- Ability to mentor and support team members;
- Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with SuccessFactors;
- Background in building People teams from the ground up;
- Process-oriented mindset with a passion for automation and simplification.
