Position: plant manager – automotive plant

role objective
plan resources and manage plant production to achieve progressive productivity growth, based on established standards and production targets.
key responsibilities
* plan the production schedule and determine required resources: labor, machinery, and equipment.
* prepare budgets for the resources needed to execute the production plan.
* raise material requisitions in coordination with the procurement/supply team.
* coordinate activities with hr, warehouse, shipping/logistics, ehs/industrial safety, and quality.
* jointly authorize projects with sales and quoting to execute the production plan.
* evaluate department performance against established objectives.
* oversee execution of the production schedule.
* analyze required investments to support the production plan.
* identify opportunities and implement process improvements.
* prepare and analyze monthly production and inventory reports.
requirements
* education: mechanical-administrative engineering, industrial & systems engineering, or related field (completed degree). A related master’s in engineering is desirable.
* experience: 5+ years in the automotive industry (oem, tier 1, tier 2) preferred.
* certifications: iatf, iso 9001, iso 14001, iso 45001, lean manufacturing, six sigma, 5s, core tools, kpis, among others.
* languages: english required.
* willingness to travel occasionally.
* residence in santa catarina or willingness to commute.

* schedule: monday to friday, 07:00–17:30; saturday, 09:00–12:00.
