The quality manager is tasked with the obligation to ensure all company products meet consumer expectations and demands.
specific daily duties for this position include overseeing employee performance and inspecting products to ensure conformity throughout the production process.
where products fail to meet quality standards, the quality manager is responsible for discarding and rejecting the product and documenting the reasons why it failed to meet the quality standards set.responsibilities- defines scope, plans, organizes, leads, and directs all quality programs and departmental efforts related to quality engineering activities for new and existing programs.
- ensure the proper development, submission, and maintenance of dfmea, pfmea, fmea, ppap documentation to meet customers' requirements for the life of the product.
- participate in the advanced product quality planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
- oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- investigates and resolves all customer quality concerns.
- solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
- responsible for ensuring all policies & procedures meet iatf standards within the division.
- responsible to assure that internal, external, and third-party audits are conducted per schedule, and that corrective actions are documented, and completed on a timely basis.
- devise and review specifications for products or processes.
- keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis- monitor department performance, to ensures company kpi's are maintained.
- provides leadership and direction for all members of the quality team to achieve customer satisfaction, business goals, and objectives.
- training and managing staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods- responsible for daily quality tracking, weekly and monthly reporting for ppm, oee, scrap, etc.- set supplier requirements and monitor compliance for raw material or intermediate products.
- implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment.
- final inspection of product.
- tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct.
- performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards.
- eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems.
- other duties as assigned.qualifications- bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or similar, or 10 years' experience- experienced in smt sector quality management.
- experienced in managing multiple groups, leadership experience, minimum 5 years- experienced in staff and performance management, minimum 5 years- experienced organizational and time-management skills, minimum 5 years- experienced verbal and written communication skills, minimum 5 years- experienced in data analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies, minimum 5 years- experienced in created and maintaining quality management systems, minimum 5 years- experienced in depth knowledge of quality core tools, minimum 5 years- experienced in microsoft office applications and computer technology, minimum 5 years- experienced reporting ppm, oee, scrap.
