*general job description*
- interacts daily with couriers/sales/customer service to coordinate load volumes for domestic services.
- monitors loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- formulates alternate plans as needed to include additional trucks
- coordinates any delays, overflows, cancellations, and re-routes, to ensure on time arrivals and departures.
- leads and provides support to cargo handling employees.
- coordinates and monitors split and routing of freight through interline (passenger airlines), and feeders; to ensure on time arrival of cargo to final destination.
- completes and maintains updated records of all related paperwork.
- generates reports regarding levels on operational service metrics (osm).
- may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
*minimum requirements*:
*minimum education*:
- college degree preferred.
- proficiency in oral and written english.
*minimum experience*:
- two (2) years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- customs certification and/or license.
- drivers license required.
*minimum required skills*:
- strong communication skills.
- valid driver's license required.
- analytical ability with basic knowledge of fedex systems.
- able to work variable shifts in a 7 day a week, 24 hour operation.
