The play games data science & analytics (dsa) team delivers insights that drive user engagement, developer success, and revenue growth. This role supports centralizing and accelerating the development of data workflows, data marts, and critical bi dashboards to provide richer insights faster.
key responsibilities:
* partner with play data science & bi stakeholders to understand analytical needs.
* design, build, and maintain etl pipelines and analytical data marts to support downstream bi and data science initiatives.
* develop dashboards and reports using google technologies; implement privacy and retention compliance; produce supporting documentation.
* troubleshoot and enhance dashboards; fix data or visual bugs.
* execute ad-hoc analyses and respond to stakeholder requests in google sheets or slides.
* optimize code and queries for performance and efficiency.
* collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of experience in sql, data analysis, and dashboard/report development.
* advanced sql skills: joins, subqueries, complex queries, query optimization, and dashboarding queries.
* strong experience in data visualization and presenting insights to stakeholders.
* experience transforming raw data into metrics and actionable insights.
* preferred: experience with python, r, or java for data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation.
* detail-oriented, analytical, and able to handle sensitive data responsibly.
