The global business finance analyst will be responsible for playing a leadership role in our global qad implementations. The finance business analyst will participate in analysis of application requirements, the development of detailed project specifications, and the development, testing, training and implementation of major business initiatives. The analyst will also play a leadership role in working with the business & it operations to continually optimize current business processes and practices.
responsibilities:
own global finance relationship for new site implementation & process optimization, including ability to influence direction and key decisions.
provide leadership on issues resolution, often involving qad and service providers.
drive governance and approach on enhancements to ensure technical feasibility and global relevancy with other global business analysts.
write functional specifications into technical specifications, get quotes, once the develop is done by programmer, test programs, create and update work aids until is promoted to production database
support and approve data change requests on user acceptance and production databases.
participate into kaizens roadmap building with sites op-ex manager, to be aware of improvements required related to qad processes.
participate on kaizen events and assure standard operations procedures and work aids are followed and updated.
travel and visit other sites to check best practices, evaluate which ones could provide high impact to other sites and coordinate events with functional leads to implement it.
participate in quality iso / sox audits closure sessions to be aware of non conformance related to qad processes (qad manager conduct audits of qad process and documents, finance auditors conduct sox audits)
participate on budget building include: license revision, supplier support hours agreement and annual maintenance.
provide training to functional leads on qad new enhancements
support sites for qad new implementations
assist on create current state using the sop standard format
assist on create future state using the sop standard format
identify gaps and write functional and technical specifications
write testing scripts for conference room pilots
assist functional leads on execution of scripts
write / update work aids needed to execute processes assigned
validate data transfer from previous systems
develop training material and conduct training to functional leads
qualification / experience:
college diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems.
proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
extensive experience (7+ years) with the targeted erp application: qad, sap or oracle...qad preferred.
2+ years of management or project management experience.
working knowledge of barcode scanning systems and database query tools – currently using eagle or other bar coding equipment.
working knowledge of edi with a preference in european bank drivers
excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
