our emobility segment is currently seeking a lead advanced manufacturing engineer.
in this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of manufacturing equipment, processes, and standards for new product development programs and key strategic manufacturing projects. You will represent mfg engineering and operations in the earliest stages of the new product development process, supporting development of the business case and influencing design for manufacturability, cost and quality and preparing timing and resource plans to ensure all program milestones are met on time and on target.you will develop and manage the standardization of equipment, processes, and procedures for a global product family; evaluate existing and emerging technologies and processes to continuously improve production costs and quality. Lead activities to develop and support the execution of the global manufacturing footprint strategic plan including make vs. buy analysis for key products, components, and processes, and defining and implementing i4.0 solutions for new production lines and processes driving best practices globally."
- prepare capital and operating cost and start-up cost estimates for new products and changes in existing products by estimating equipment, tooling, and gauging investment. Determine machine production rates and staffing requirements. Develop timing plans for manufacturing related activities to meet key program milestones
- plan, design, and realize assembly and test processes for new and existing products. Support industrialization teams in installing new processes and production lines at the production plants.
- develop processes with yield, throughput, scrap reduction, error proofing, and ergonomic enhancements as part of the process. Incorporate lessons learned from prior projects, customer returns, and failure analysis
- lead prolaunch activities including product design for manufacturing and assembly (dfm/dfa), equipment specification, process development, documentation of the system, training and problem-solving activities of new product lines and equipment
- work with others throughout the organization to complete all manufacturing requirements related to prolaunch phases 0-3. This includes preliminary pfmeas, dfmas, flow charts, control plans, test plans, and operator instruction sheets.

*qualifications*:
bachelor degree in engineering
5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
- 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
- 2 years of experience with electronics based products
*skills*:
- 6-sigma certified
- experience deploying and sustaining operation of the following processes
- soldering systems, dispensing systems, advanced automation and controls, laswer welding leak test systems, end of line test systems."
- demonstrated strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- experience working with global teams
- demonstrated program or project management skills"
