*position objective*:
the global trade service manager is responsible for overseeing and executing all the all
- aspects of import/export (including virtual) customs activity in mexico and manage the
- mexican fiscal programs. This position will focus on oversight and collaboration with customs
- team members and key mexico plant resources to identify and address trade and customs
- risk in the supply chain assessing and mitigating risk to ensure compliance with mexican
- customs and tax regulations.
- the role is primarily responsible for monitoring and auditing activities to ensure brp mexico
- sites are in compliance with the mexican customs regulations, including immex regulations
- and others.
- the position provides strategic and tactical leadership across brp mexico to ensure that the
- sites are in compliance with a wide range of trade regulations. It will develop and implement
- policies and internal management systems to ensure that employees understand and follow
- targeted legal principles involving domestic and foreign trade laws. It will guide and support
- the sites in remediation efforts where necessary and ensure the ongoing fulfillment of
- customs requirements for the import/export operation.*roles & responsibilities*:

- ? Manage and support all the brp entities in mexico. (3 manufacturing sites & 1
- distribution center)
- ? Perform periodic compliance audits as needed and assist with development,
- standardization, and corrective action plan implementation.
- ? Prepare for internal and external audits by researching materials; formulating a
- plan of action.
- ? Communicate audit progress and findings by preparing reports; providing
- information to gts management.
- ? Control and understand the expenses and costs related with customs in mx.
- ? Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction related with
- the customs in mexico.
- ? Ensure brp complies with all the law requirements and programs as immex,
- prosec, oea and vat certified company (aaa).
- ? Compliance with all the laws and regulations that affect customs transactions and
- international trade.
- ? Manage the integrity of the customs department system data (annex 24 & annex
- 31)
- ? Interfaces with mexican government to ensure all permits, registrations are in
- order.
- ? Manage the integrity of fiscal archiving.
- ? Develop key performance indicators to ensure all customs transactions follow
- mexican customs law for all the mexican entities.
- ? Develop and keep self-audits, contingency plans, workload reviews, customs
- department procedures, and record keeping control.
- ? Support production line transferences and new product introduction as required.

- ? Duties and taxes reconciliation data management reports to evaluate opportunity- duty rates. / customs budget
- ? Monitor and control the brokerage fees to ensure competitive fees, the customs
- software fees to ensure competitive fees and the in-house fees to ensure
- competitive fees.
- ? Work closely with the customs compliance expert in canada to suggest and
- achieve additional saving related directly or indirectly to the customs transactions
- ? Identify opportunities for cost reductions
- ? Customs broker relationship management.
- ? Software company relationship management to ensure brp needs are covered.
- ? Provide guidelines to our service providers to ensure all our customs transactions
- follow the brp requirements.
- ? Provide guidelines to the business and our service providers to ensure higher
- level of compliance.
- ? Fta's support to the international division
- ? Support to international division with customs activities related to latin america
- ? Develop sap queries to support the mx customs operations.
- ? Interact effectively with multi-functional areas including management, supply
- chain, purchasing, distribution, engineering, finance, it and legal to prevent trade
- disruptions
