Develop the master production schedule and daily production schedule.
- manages daily/weekly/monthly build schedule to ensure customer requests kept (rk)/promises kept (pk) is met.
- close communication to internal customers.
- collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure production plans align with overall business goals
- collaborates with procurement, suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and also customer service to drive rk/pk improvements,
- collaborate with operations on the creation of capacity planning models. Utilize models to ensure planning to available capacity, identify upcoming spikes, and level loading as needed
- executes, monitors and analyze, past due, on time delivery, attainment, adherence to production plans reports
- look for process improvement (continuous improvement process oriented)
- coordinates requests for rush orders and expected delays in materials and purchased parts so that the shortest possible delay occurs for customers
- identify and resolve any production issues or delays, solve a variety of problems that may arise, including but not limited to, rejected parts, purchased parts availability, capacity and throughput constraints, and change in customer demands and service levels.
- generate and present production reports to management team
- collaborates with it, rbs, and others as needed to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in systems
- reviews and manages safety stock levels on internal parts.
