we are currently looking for a human resources assistant to join our resortcom family!

position summary:

the human resources assistant – mexico provides essential support to the hr department by assisting with daily administrative and operational tasks related to payroll coordination, employee onboarding, hr compliance and filing. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for employees at our guadalajara call center. This role requires knowledge of mexican labor, including imss, infonavit, and fondo de ahorro. As payroll is processed manually, the ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, microsoft excel proficiency, and the ability to manage sensitive data with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity. The hr assistant works closely with the hr generalist and the vp-hr to ensure an efficient and employee-focused hr experience.

key responsibilities:

payroll support

* prenomina: assist with payroll preparation by collecting, reviewing, and retrieving time and attendance data.
* help maintain accurate employee payroll records and support the resolution of payroll inquiries.
* review all payroll incidents, like taxes, medical leaves, absences, bonus and commission, overtime, etc… to add to the payroll report
* coordinate with the payroll provider on basic adjustments or discrepancies.
* respond to employee payroll-related inquiries, including earnings breakdowns, tax withholdings, and benefits.
* coordinate the distribution of pay slips and year-end tax documents (e.g., constancia de percepciones y retenciones, cfdis).

hr compliance & recordkeeping

* maintain updated personnel files with all required documentation, such as contracts, identification, and imss-related records.
* help ensure hr records meet local labor and fiscal requirements.
* support audits by organizing and preparing required documents.
* maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit readiness.

onboarding, offboarding & employee experience

* accept and review onboarding/hiring documents for hr review.
* prepare onboarding packets and coordinate first-day schedules for new hires.
* track completion of new hire documentation and assist in orientation logistics.
* organize offboarding checklists, retrieve company property, and support exit interviews.
* support offboarding processes.

employee relations & support

* serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions regarding policies, schedules, benefits, and procedures.
* provide guidance to leadership to collect documentation regarding employee interactions and support the tracking of disciplinary actions and performance feedback.
* partner with leadership to ensure timely completion of performance reviews by providing reminders, support, and guidance on the process.
* assist with physical setup and breakdown of office events, including lifting, moving furniture, and other manual labor tasks as needed.

qualifications


required qualifications:

* bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or in progress).
* bilingual – fluent in english and spanish (written and spoken).
* proficient in microsoft office (excel, word, outlook).
* strong numerical, analytical, and excel skills
* organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
* strong interpersonal and communication skills.

preferred qualifications:

* 1+ year of experience in an hr administrative or support role.
* familiarity with mexican labor laws, imss, and basic payroll processes.
* experience working in a call center, bpo, or hospitality environment.
* knowledge of hris or digital employee management systems.
* basic accounting knowledge in regard to payroll.

pay information:

* $17,000.00 -$20,000.00 mxn monthly
