role at a glance

as a sales engineer at yaydoo, you\'ll guide companies through their digital finance journey—from initial discovery to detailed solution planning. You'll dive into clients\' financial operations and systems, uncover inefficiencies, and lead the development of robust, scalable solutions that tie together invoicing, collections, bookkeeping, and reporting. This pre-sales engineering role focuses on technical reassurance and objective advising, not sales.

on a daily basis, you'll support live customer conversations, lead whiteboard sessions, prepare tailored solution proposals, and ensure each customer's unique needs are addressed both technically and strategically. You'll partner with growing ecommerce brands, small businesses, or mid-sized distributors to design and communicate how yaydoo fits into their ecosystem and drives tangible outcomes.

what you'll do

* engage with both smbs and mid-sized enterprises to understand end-to-end financial workflows, including invoicing, collections, ap/ar processes, and existing financial systems (erp, accounting software, crms, and payment platforms).
* serve as a strategic technical partner in the sales process, guiding solution design for complex environments with multiple system dependencies, compliance needs, or multi-entity operations.
* collaborate with customer finance, operations, and it teams to map integration approaches, data workflows, and user adoption plans that align with current infrastructure and future goals.
* build and deliver tailored demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution proposals connecting yaydoo\'s platform capabilities to stakeholders\' priorities—cfos, controllers, or technical leads.
* partner with account executives, product teams, and implementation specialists to ensure continuity from discovery to go-live, including documenting requirements, advising on technical configuration, and shaping post-sale handoff plans.

who you are

* you bring deep familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting processes—especially in mexican businesses across ecommerce, wholesale, services, and manufacturing.
* you're comfortable discussing data structures, financial reporting workflows, and systems interoperability in detail.
* you enjoy both strategic and hands-on work, switching between high-level solution discussions and technical demos or documentation.
* you have experience advising clients with diverse tech stacks and regulatory requirements, and you know how to align stakeholders around structured solutions.

requirements

* 3–5+ years in a sales engineer, solutions consultant, or financial systems advisor role, ideally in saas, fintech, or erp environments.
* working knowledge of platforms such as netsuite, quickbooks, zoho books, contpaq, or similar accounting/erp systems.
* experience supporting finance transformation projects, payment automation, or multi-system implementations in a customer-facing capacity.
* experience in bookkeeping, accounting, fp&a, and the financial operations of businesses with both sales and fulfillment departments; cfdi compliance and e-invoicing regulations are a plus.
* strong business spanish and english fluency, verbal and written.

travel: willingness to travel occasionally (~10–15%) for client visits, team offsites, or partner meetings.
