the impact you'll make
as our continuous improvement expert for quality – americas, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability and safety.
your impact? You will directly influence the quality culture across our americas plants, reducing waste and enhancing customer trust. By closing systemic gaps and mentoring local teams, you ensure that "engineering tomorrow" is built on a foundation of zero‑defect manufacturing and robust quality systems.
you’ll collaborate with plant managers, quality directors, and cross‑functional regional teams and take ownership of plant‑level quality assessments and systemic improvement roadmaps, helping us move toward a more efficient and sustainable future.
what you’ll be doing
lead quality transformations: execute prioritized improvement actions and problem‑solving initiatives (dmaic, 8d, 4‑step) to deliver measurable results in dppm reduction, first pass yield, and scrap/rework.
support regional excellence: conduct deep‑dive assessments of plant‑level quality systems (iatf 16949, iso 9001) to identify risks and implement sustainable corrective actions.
collaborate across the americas: partner with plant managers and directors in a matrix environment to influence quality strategy and leave plants with clear strategic plans.
use your skills in core tools: deploy and optimize apqp, ppap, fmea, control plans, msa, and spc to improve manufacturing stability and the overall customer experience.
continuously learn and share: act as a subject matter expert within our global team of 5, sharing best practices across regions (americas, eu, apac) to enhance how we operate and serve customers.
what we're looking for
quality systems mastery: over 7 years of progressive experience in quality with mandatory certification as an auditor in iatf 16949 and iso 9001.
technical proficiency: strong expertise in automotive tier 1 or precision manufacturing environments, utilizing microsoft office and advanced problem‑solving methodologies.
ability to work across cultures: willingness to travel extensively (60%–75%, approx. 3 weeks per month) across the americas to engage stakeholders at the plant manager and director level.
strong communication: fluent english is required for regional collaboration; proficiency in spanish or portuguese is a strong advantage.
a mindset of continuous improvement: a six sigma black belt (or green belt with a strong track record) focused on identifying gaps and driving prioritized actions.
