A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced materials and logistics manager to oversee production control, materials planning, and logistics operations.
this role is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, on-time customer delivery, and efficient production flow while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
key responsibilities
- develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and plant capacity.
- oversee material planning to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- manage inventory levels, accuracy, and control processes to minimize excess and shortages.
- lead logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation.
- collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, production, quality, and sales to ensure seamless material flow.
- monitor and improve key performance indicators (kpis) such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and production adherence.
- drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs, efficiency, and service levels.
- lead, coach, and develop the materials team.
- ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
qualifications
- bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, or related field (master's preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in production control, material planning, and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- proven experience managing and developing teams.
- strong knowledge of erp/mrp systems.
- advanced english proficiency.
- strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
